Silver

 Off-tilt

               You dither

The mind’s much like your hair

                                               Short

                                               Silver.

                              Wayward

face whitewashed

with pettles of skin

eyes tucked in

mouth tongue-

                         tied, cratered moon.

You speak

and the questions get LOUDER

And I miss the answers

As you miss

Improvisation

birdsong

laughter

This is not you

Or the you I start to remember

silver

you edge further

and it is painful to watch each new time.

Ghosts

You will not see us

as frost strips fingers bare.

This is a strange and shivering air.

You will not see us

in this darkening sky,

where rumours of shadows

haunt this crooked knot night.

You will not see us

as lips orbit skin

as bare as breath,

spinning with a frenzied grin

of sin and hair.

Beware

the freeze of ink in this writer’s night,

of hell and madness.

Prepare

for tonight we are ghosts.

My novel is available to download as an ebook on Amazon

This is the blurb!!

Looking back is an addiction…

Trapped in an unremarkable life, a frustrated journalist spends each day waiting for something to happen. Married with children, he knows he should be happy but can’t shake the feeling that something is missing.

Everything changes when he meets Hugo, a charismatic and well-connected businessman. Hugo introduces him to a seductive and dangerous world – one without consequences.

Parhelion, Breeze’s compelling debut novel, is the story of a man whose desire to have it all may well consume him.

Glow

You would always leave Lucozade

by my bed

when I was ill.

The glass bottle

glowed with a golden neck.

It was a child’s Champagne-

A toast to sickness and shivers.

With its mottled spine

like tiny glass pox

and its bubbles

and its froth

that sunk into lava.

I would sip, burp, turn over

and sleep as you would leave

content. Belief in the power

of remedies, of old wives’ tales, ointments,

tonics, medicinal drinks, lotions boiled sweets

that are now just a curiousity.
